I am a Guatemalan-born entrepreneur and founder of Green View Tree Service, which I established in 2017. After immigrating to Providence as a teenager, with the support from my husband, I built my business from the ground up—starting with a $30 lawn mower and growing it into a trusted company serving homeowners and municipalities across Rhode Island. While earning my MBA from Johnson & Wales University, I developed the leadership and business strategy that allowed me to expand into tree services, becoming one of the few licensed female arborists in the state. Driven by resilience, family support, and commitment to the environment, I continue to grow my company while creating opportunities and giving back to my community.

I handle negativity and self-doubt by staying grounded and counting my blessings. I reflect on everything I’ve achieved and overcome, which reminds me of my strength. If I’ve made it through those challenges, I know I can face anything that comes next.

2) One thing I try to do every day is…

One thing I try to do every day is stay grateful and remember my purpose. I built my business to be a present mother and to create opportunities for my family and employees. I’m committed to supporting my team and helping them grow in their careers and lives.

3) I define success as…

I define success as building a life where I can provide a good living for myself and my employees, deliver outstanding service at a fair price, and still be present for my family, especially being able to show up for my kids every day.

4) I want people to know me for…

I want people to know me for never giving up and standing up for what is right. As one of the first Latina women to work with multiple cities and the federal government in Rhode Island, I hope to open doors and create a path for others to follow.

5) In 10 years, I hope to…

In 10 years, I hope to continue growing my business while creating opportunities for others. I want to train, empower, and mentor small business owners, by sharing my experience and helping them build better futures.

6) When I need a jolt of energy, I…

When I need a jolt of energy, I disconnect from electronics and take a short walk with my dog, Rocky, and my kids. Breathing in the fresh air and being around nature helps me feel grounded, refocused, and ready to return to work with renewed energy.

7) One thing that is difficult for me, but I enjoy is…

One thing that is difficult, but I enjoy, is being a Latina in an industry traditionally dominated by men and multi-generational businesses. I often must prove myself, but I take pride in it, it strengthens me and sets my business apart.

8) A recent accomplishment I’m proud of would have to be…

A recent accomplishment I’m proud of is acquiring Better Lawns & Gardens, a landscaping company established in 1996 and its eight employees. I once thought I would sell my business one day but never imagined I would grow enough to acquire and operate another company under Green View.

9) My biggest source of inspiration…

My biggest source of inspiration is my husband, Ronald Chacón. He constantly pushes me to dream bigger and reminds me that anything is possible through hard work. He is the most hardworking person I have ever met. Watching him achieve his goals inspires me every day to believe in myself and keep striving for more.

10) My mantra…

Build with purpose, lead with discipline, and never give up. Everything I do is for my family, my team, and the opportunities I’m creating—so no matter how hard it gets, I keep pushing forward.
